In his new Apostolic Exhortation to Young People, his Holiness, Pope Francis, encourages young people to “not be bystanders in life.” He further tells them, “Get involved! Jesus was not a bystander. He got involved. Don’t stand aloof, but immerse yourselves in the reality of life, as Jesus did.”

Because young people are in the midst of unprecedented busyness and distraction, Pope Francis invites each of us to recognize the inherent value in youth and to do our part to lead them into an encounter with the living Christ.

Christ Lives is a response to the Synod on Young People; it is the Pope’s passionate call for every Christian to meet young people where they are, to demonstrate the Lord’s love to them, to recognize and embrace the role God has for them in the Church, and to empower them to bring the Gospel everywhere.
